Motivated by our Christian faith, Catholic Social Teaching and Social Justice values, we as Australian Catholics for Equality are engaging in prayer and action in our various communities large and small, to empower fellow LGBTIQ Catholics, their family, friends and allies to have a voice on issues that impacts their lives and wellbeing.

Advocate

We work to provide forums and networks where Catholic Christian communities and groups are formed to address and advocate on issues that concerns them, i.e. homophobia, civil marriage equality, exclusion of Lesbians and Trans* Catholics, LGBTI age discrimination, LGBTI refugees and asylum seekers, discrimination of LGBTI persons, family and domestic violence caused by homophobia, etc.

Voice

We seek to broaden Catholic representations in the Australian public sphere in enhancing a more diverse and authentic perspective, especially on issues concerning LGBTIQ Catholics, their families, friends and allies.

Promote

We promote and encourage leadership amongst all peoples that celebrates and values the gifts of LGBTIQ peoples, we affirm leadership that serves to empower the poor, the marginalised and care for our environment.
