Australian Catholic for Equality is a grassroots movement for Australian LGBTIQ Catholics, their families, friends and allies.

The executive body of Australian Catholics for Equality is the Council of Moderators. The Council of Moderators consists of Moderators who are elected leaders of various working-groups focusing to advance issues identified by the body of members, these are campaigns to improve the lives of LGBTIQ Catholics, their families and friends.

Purpose:
This organization leads, speaks and advocates with LGBTIQ Catholics, their families and friends and allies.

Vision:
A strong and united LGBTIQ inclusive Australian Community that support and celebrates the gifts, lived experiences and the dignity of LGBTIQ Catholics, their families, friends and allies.

Strategic Goals:
• Celebrate and uphold the dignity and lives of LGBTIQ Catholics, their families, friends and allies.
• Represent and advocate for the interest of LGBTIQ Catholics, their families, friends and allies.
• Challenge heterosexism and other forms of xenophobia and discrimination based on homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, intersexphobia and other forms of prejudices such as racism and sexism.
• Increase knowledge and understanding of the gifts and lived experiences of LGBTIQ Catholics, their families, friends and allies in order to promote greater health and wellbeing of the community.
• Ensure religious, cultural, political and social inclusion of LGBTIQ members of our society.
